[metaslider id=1863]Pushkar, A traveler loves to travel and explore places which are scenic, full of adventure and gives breathtaking experience. But this time, I thought to go through the cultural and traditional beauty of India. India is full of colors and scenic beauty. Every street and every state has its own story.
And so I went through the story of Pushkar (Blue Lotus Flower) and its ancient beauty.
If I say truly, without using lots of heavy words, than it is a place where you can explore most of the places within 48 hours. It’s around the city which is overall situated near lakeside. Everything here goes and comes around the lake.
This is the only reason that you can easily take a tour of this place on a weekend gateway.
I am giving you the six best reason to go here:
1. Cultural heritage:
As Pushkar is near some of the oldest geological structures in India and built in ancient times, so the houses and palace can be seen defining the heritage. When you walk through the sides of the lake, you can see an amazing view of the city with pandits (Priest) conducting prayers.
While exploring the safari, then also you will see a very beautiful dance and songs performed by Banjara(gypsy) in the desert.
And also during the walk on the roadside, you can see villagers wear there traditional dress i.e Dhoti, kurta and a giant size pagadi 0000(turban).And the amazing not so spicy food with desi ghee(Clarified Butter), is like a place not less than heaven.
2.Bohemian hippie
If you want to explore the bohemian hippie style, this is the best place for that. You can see a large percentage of the foreigner who carries a hippie look with a cool carefree look.
They can be seen dancing, playing instruments and enjoying with Indians on the street. A different crowd and a different environment.
3. Bramha Temple
Whenever we google about Pushkar, the first thing it shows is Brahma temple, as in Pushkar there are many temples, but in India, there is only one Brahma temple.
Very fine art and the ancient beauty surrounds the temple. Built with marble and decorated with silver coins, this temple can be identified by its red spire. Interestingly, while all the gods are shown barefooted, Surya is shown wearing ancient warrior’s boots.
4.Camel Safari
Camel Safari is the famous part, as they ride through the desert of Pushkar telling you the story of their livestock and heritage and showing you the Banjara(gypsy) beauty and famous spot. You can try their traditional dresses and dance. They give you the full feeling of the desert with special effects of camel safari.
5. Lake view and sunset point: Hindu mythology speaks about Panch Sarovar (Five Lakes) –
Man Sarovar, Bindu Sarovar, Narayan Sarovar, Pampa Sarovar, and Pushkar Sarovar, of which, Pushkar Lake is considered the most sacred. The lake has 52 bathing ghats (steps leading into the water) and the water around each ghat is believed to possess special medicinal powers.
Sitting around these lakes, you will feel different energy and calmness.
People gather around at the time of sunset near the sunset point and the foreigner performs the different type of talent on the Lake.
6.Annual Fair :
The Pushkar Fair or Mela is an annual five-day camel and livestock fair between the months of October and November. It is one of the world’s largest cattle fairs. In recent years, the fair has also included an exhibition football match between the local Pushkar Club and a team of foreign tourists. A camel race starts off the festival, with music, songs, and exhibitions to follow.
